Zaha Hadid and Related Companies’ new residential building adjacent to the High Line has been in the news over the past few weeks. The condominium will have 39 residences, automated underground parking and a wide range of amenities including a 2,500-square-foot planted sculpture terrace.
GMS Building Envelope team is assisting the designers with the façade and waterproofing. The façade includes large sliding glass panels, handcrafted bronze patinaed metal façade and Hadid’s signature curves. The chevron pattern of the façade envelops split levels of the building. Curved glass is used at the building corners and terrace guard rails. The 11 story L-shaped building is currently under construction and should be completed by early 2017.
